Crawler: Pastime Dreamer
Live album with '70s band Crawler, recorded in 1977, released in 2003. Includes a
cover of The Band's "The Shape I'm In."
Wrong place, wrong time - it's a familiar story. Back Street Crawler were a band that fought hard to survive following the death of Paul Kossoff in 1976. In 1977 they re-emerged after some time in the rock wilderness with a fine self-titled album and a shortened name - Crawler. They toured endlessly and played some sensational shows. In 1978 they released one further album called Snake, Rattle and Roll, before finally calling it a day. This live recording was made during the period promoting the first album and captures them in stunning form. If you ever liked the albums or caught some of the excellent gigs, this will bring back some fine memories. No overdubs, no bullshit, just a fine band in blistering form. Enjoy it, it's not often that something remembered is as good as you thought it was.
