And now we're listening to Robbie Robertson and Walela perform Robertson's song "Unity Stomp Dance." There's Robertson, one- time member of the legendary rock group The Band which began as Dylan's backups, Dylan's band, then branched out on their own with classics like "Up on Cripple Creek." Martin Scorsese's film "The Last Waltz," about the final Band concert, one of the best movies ever made with rock 'n roll as its theme. Robbie Robertson was a --- his mother was a Mohawk Indian. He spent summers with her at the Six Nations Reservation. Rita Coolidge, one of the backup singers, is part of the group Welela along with her sister Priscilla and Priscilla's daughter Laura Satterfield. All 3 of them are of Cherokee heritage.
